Try These At Home Facemask Treatments

Being stuck in the house doesn’t mean you have to skip your skincare or even some skin pampering! At-home facemasks and facials are great ways to give your skin a nice, healthy glow without breaking the bank (or even needing to go to the grocery store!). You can create a great facemask with ingredients that you likely have in your pantry.

Try these DIY facemasks at home:

Exfoliating Mask:

  • 2 TBSP Brown Sugar
  • 2 TBSP Coconut Oil

With particles strong enough to exfoliate, but gentler than other sugars or salts, brown sugar is even great for sensitive skin. The coconut oil helps to moisturize, leaving your skin glowing and soft.

Skin Brightening Face Mask

  • ½ Avocado
  • 1 TBSP Honey
  • 1 TBSP Plain Yogurt

Honey naturally helps draw and hold moisture from your face. Known as a humectant, this property keeps your skin soft and moisturized the entire day. The natural antibacterial properties in honey can also help fight acne. Yogurt can help relieve sunburn, exfoliate skin, and also help fight acne.

Moisturizing Mask

  • 1 Avocado
  • 1 Egg Yolk
  • 1 Banana

Choosing a moisturizer can be tricky, especially if you already have oily skin. Luckily, this facemask recipe helps to reduce natural skin oil while providing moisture your skin needs to be healthy. The vitamin E and healthy fats in the avocado make this a great anti-aging mask. The silica in the banana helps produce collagen and the egg’s protein helps firm your skin.

Skincare is important no matter what else is going on in the world, and it doesn’t have to cost a fortune! Check around your pantry and see which ingredients you already have. You can take one of these recipes and turn it into a whole at-home spa night!
